So tonight was the State of the Union address and once again, my patience gave out around 45 minutes into it. Oh well, at least I made an attempt. I'm excited for tomorrow night's primary in Florida. I can honestly say at this point I have not a clue who is going to win. I do feel as though Giuliani is going down in flames and fast. Other than that, things are going great. I really can't complain. Of course, we can all use more money, sleep, vacation, the usual, but other than that I really have nothing I can complain about. With that being said, I love my job more and more every week. Each day is like a little mini present because literally I never know what I'm going to get to do that day. Like today, for instance, my first tour was canceled (love canceled tours!!)
and I thought I was stuck for the day in the office answering phones. Then little Miss Emilie came to my rescue and had myself and another page go handout last minute standby tickets for Conan. At first I was kind of dreading it b/c I hate bugging people when all they want to do is eat their lunch/shop in private, but I jumped at the chance to go walk around outside and get some fresh air. Surprisingly enough, it turned out to be a cool little adventure. To see the looks on people's faces when I told them I had tickets to the show was priceless. One group of ladies from who knows where was elated and could not contain their excitement. Even though they weren't guaranteed (as they were standby only, but had a really, really good chance of getting in) they still were over the moon excited. And yes, for those of you wonder what "over the moon" means, don't ask - it's just something we southern people say.
