I'm STARVING and b/c I haven't gone to the grocery store in over a week there's not much to choose from. My choices are mac and cheese, eggs - which I ate for b'fast, so I'm not up for a repeat, and canned soup. Don't get me wrong, I love Amy's organic vegetable soup, but not only did I eat it for dinner last night, it's also 80 degrees outside and the thought of hot, steamy soup sounds about as fun as walking to the subway in 4" heels right now. So, while waiting for my afternoon festivities to commence, I've ordered some nice cold sushi and am eagerly sitting next to the intercom waiting for that tell tale buzzer to bleep out that my food has arrived.
Went today and got my haircut. It's seriously one of my favorite things to do. And the smell of a salon is so intoxicatingly (not sure if that's a word or not) fun. When I was younger I use to tell my mom I wanted to be a beautician so I could work in a salon only b/c of the way it smelled. And the shampoo girl today was fantastic! Laugh if you must, but those of you that understand what I'm talking about will be able to appreciate a really good shampoo. That's half the fun of getting your hair done!
So as I sit and wait for - THERE'S THE BUZZER!!
10 minutes later . . . . .
Tummy is much better now. And that was delicious. Not sure if I was just that hungry or if it really was that good, but that was some of the best sushi I've ever eaten, literally. And good edamame as well. Of course b/c I was so hungry I ordered enough for dinner as well. Oh well, this is why I never go grocery shopping hungry b/c I walk out with enough to feed the homeless for a week.
