1.4.2009

I chose two photos for today. This first being me playing with the flash mostly, but also because this is one of those little moments in my day I dread.....the end of my coffee in the morning. I know it's stupid, especially on my day off, but every morning when I reach the bottom of my coffee cup I get a little blue momentarily because this signifies that I must pull myself off the couch and actually get the day started. I like to pretend my morning coffee is my way of keeping a few moments to myself before the day must begin. But today was a great day. An old friend came over for a late lunch and we talked and talked and talked and talked. I love days like that where you're with a great person and you can just keep talking and forget the rest of the world exists. That's what's so funny about living in Manhattan - I can spend the entire day in my little 450 square feet and the rest of the world has no idea I'm in here. Some days it's the most perfect place in the city - especially those days when the temperature is in the single digits or triple digits and my air conditioner is my best friend. And although I did leave to fun a few errands later in the day, I finally conquered the pile of laundry today. The final load is in the dryer downstairs now.....5 loads......ugh. I knew the hamper was getting a bit full by the way it was leaning, but now that it's all washed, dried, and folded, I don't have the energy to put it away.

But if I have any hope of finishing season 3 of Beverly Hills, 90210 - or as I like to call it "Brentwood in the 90's"....I'm going to need to remove something. I just hope it doesn't all come crashing down on me. Although freshly washed laundry could make a nice bed for the evening. It's still warm from the dryer. :)
